Serhan Bali praises Timisoara's music scene: 'I was very impressed'
During his visit to Timisoara for the Akordaj – Spotlight on Music conference, Serhan Bali, publisher and editor-in-chief of Andante magazine, had the opportunity to explore the local music scene and was pleasantly surprised.
“I was very impressed. I didn’t think Timisoara had such a rich classical music scene. What I saw last night, a performance of Nabucco in the open air and hundreds of people gathered in the Rose Park, was impressive,” said Bali.
He praised local initiatives to bring classical music closer to the general public: “All countries, all cities can take what happened last night as an example. From what I see, the city is thriving and I find this, for the future, extremely positive.”
Serhan Bali’s participation at the Akordaj – Spotlight on Music conference provided an opportunity to strengthen cultural ties and promote classical music among new generations. Akordaj – Spotlight on Music is a conference organized by Classical ME, JM Hungary and Scena Muzicală, which brought together classical music journalism professionals from Hungary and Romania in Timisoara with the aim of training the next generation of classical music journalists. The conference was co-financed by the Erasmus+ program.
