Gabor Egri shares his experience with young professionals at Akordaj - Spotlight on Music

At the Akordaj – Spotlight on Music conference in Timisoara, Gabor Egri interacted with the participants and was pleasantly surprised by their enthusiasm and involvement.

“They are very interested in what we are discussing. I don’t get the feeling that these young people who are constantly checking their messages on their phones came. They’re paying attention and they’re listening, and I’m trying to turn this class into a conversation,” Egri remarked. He appreciated that although the program was intense-four three-hour sessions over two days-participants stayed engaged.

Egri expressed his hope that the students would come away with two key takeaways: “That they would gain an overview of cultural marketing, with a focus on arts institutions, and secondly, that they would notice a development in their creativity…. To take on challenges, because in my opinion, challenges are about adapting and moving forward, not complaining.”

Akordaj – Spotlight on Music is a conference organized by Classical ME, JM Hungary and Scena Muzicală, which brought together music journalism and music marketing professionals from Hungary and Romania in Timisoara, with the aim of training the next generation of music specialists. The conference was co-financed by the Erasmus+ program.
